Movement

Geoff suggested this morning that I track movement... :)

2/11, Thursday - 13w6d, I felt bubbles dancing around in my tummy (and no, it wasn't gas!) what a cool feeling, baby kept moving for a little while too. (Evening)
2/23, Tuesday - 15w4d, It felt like I was being body checked... Like baby was wrestling something, I could feel it on what I assume was different sides of my womb. This was the first time I realized there was really a creature in my tummy that moves on its own. (Evening)
2/27, Saturday - 16w1d, I felt baby again today. Lighter this time, but definitely movement. (Morning)

Oh - and I think the nesting may be starting full force. I'll post pictures sometime.
[Katie, I might have to do a 'not me' post O:)]

16 weeks

Watch what you say... tiny bones forming in baby's ears mean the little one can now pick up your voice. Eyebrows, lashes and hair are starting to fill in, and taste buds are forming. And, if you're interested, an ultrasound might be able to determine gender.

How far along? 16 weeks.
Due Date: August 13, 2010
Total weight gain/loss: Holding steady at -4... I'm sure it will change soon but for now it is pretty cool. The idea that I could finish this pregnancy healthier than when I started is awesome.
Maternity clothes? Definitely. I have a few normal shirts that still fit flattering for work but I much prefer my maternity clothes. T-shirts are still ok - they are long and stretchy!
Sleep: Getting difficult... right now I have a pain in in my right hip/tail bone that is making sleep a tad uncomfortable. Add on to that trying to only sleep on my left side and we have a less-than-perfect sleep!
Best moment this week: Feeling the baby DEFINITELY! :) It felt like I was being body-checked! So cool and crazy - there is a little creature in my tummy moving all on its own. Neat.
Movement: Totally! No question... not everyday, but when I feel it I really feel it!
Food cravings: It varies.
Food aversions: Things that are creamy and warm or smell gross (to me)
Gender: Unknown. - We will find out April 7th!
Labor Signs: None.
Belly Button in or out? In... no change.
What I miss: Subway!!!
What I am looking forward to: Looking at bedding options. :)
Milestones: I guess baby can hear now... awesome! Time to start playing/practicing my piano again.

Other: I have new aches everyday... they are ever changing. From my tail bone to my hip... makes me wonder, what is next?

(I'll try to get a picture up this week... I didn't last week because there wasn't any change really.)

15 weeks

Continuing the march towards normal proportions, baby's legs now outmeasure the arms. And, finally, all four limbs have functional joints. Your fetus is squirming and wiggling like crazy down in the womb, though you probably still can't feel the movements.

How far along? 15 weeks.
Due Date: August 13, 2010
Total weight gain/loss: -4 total, same as last week.
Maternity clothes? Definitely. I have a few normal shirts that still fit flattering for work but I much prefer my maternity clothes. T-shirts are still ok - they are long and stretchy!
Sleep: Not too bad. I'm trying to get used to left-side sleeping... I am a right side sleeper normally.
Best moment this week: Going to the Dr and hearing the baby's heartbeat! 153bpm. It was cool... our baby's heartbeat was strong and easy to find/hear!
Movement: Yes... last week I had little bubbles dancing in my tummy (I know it was the baby!) but this week I didn't notice anything. I'm looking forward to it being so obvious I can't miss it!
Food cravings: It varies.
Food aversions: Things that are creamy and warm or smell gross (to me)
Gender: Unknown.
Labor Signs: None.
Belly Button in or out? In... no change.
What I miss: Subway!!!
What I am looking forward to: Our next ultrasound is April 7th! I'm excited to see the baby again and find out boy/girl!
Milestones: Hearing the heartbeat again. And... I feel adorable! :)

Other: I love that I have close friends that are pregnant too! and one that shares my due date... :) My baby will be sure to have lots of friends! :)

(Picture will come later today)

14 weeks!

Your adorable little fetus is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, and (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over the body for warmth.

How far along?
14 weeks.
Due Date: August 13, 2010
Total weight gain/loss: -4 total, down 2 from last week. I'm not trying to loose weight... but I know that I could stand to loose some still so this is pretty cool. :) I think it just means I'm eating really healthy!
Maternity clothes? Yes. I just bought a maternity tank top for layering and 2 new shirts for work. (One is particularly adorable!)
Sleep: Not too bad. I'm trying to get used to left-side sleeping... I am a right side sleeper normally.
Best moment this week: I think I 'popped' this week AND (see next note)
Movement: YES!! I first noticed Thursday @ work. I can tell the difference between gas bubbles and the bubbly feeling of my baby moving! I can't explain the difference except when it is baby bubbles I don't have to burp :D
Food cravings: It varies.
Food aversions: Things that are creamy and warm or smell gross (to me)
Gender: Unknown.
Labor Signs: None.
Belly Button in or out? In... no change.
What I miss: Subway!!!
What I am looking forward to: Starting to get the nursery ready. Hearing the heartbeat again Tuesday and making the next ultrasound appointment (the big one! we'll find out gender... April/May). :)
Milestones: My belly 'popped', felt the baby, cute new maternity clothes!

Other: This is so wonderful! I'm really enjoying being pregnant! Last Saturday Mom (Grammy!) and I went to a resale shop and I bought a couple non-gender CUTE clothes and a little swivel rocker for the nursery! :) Sometime in the next few weeks we have 2 more to visit. :)
Also: My parents bought our crib and changing table! WOW! :) This is why I really want to get the nursery ready! :)

Progression :) And I didn't think much had changed!:

My super cute maternity shirt and new haircut! (though it is kind of hard to see) :)

13 weeks!

Your fetus is forming teeth and vocal cords... savor this, their non-functional phase. Baby is approaching normal proportions, with a head now only one third the size of the body. Intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy. (Much more convenient.)

How far along?
13 weeks.
Due Date: August 13, 2010
Total weight gain/loss: -2. Huh. That's +3 from last week. I guess that it was is supposed to happen especially considering the growth baby is doing and taking up more space... but it was so fun seeing the numbers go down.
Maternity clothes? Yes. My new work pants have to be the most comfortable pants I think I've ever worn! ... even more than pajama pants!
Sleep: Much easier with my body pillow!
Best moment this week: Wearing maternity work pants and getting my hair cut (it was last cut July '08) It needed to happen now so it can grow out a little before the baby comes.
Movement: Not that I can feel.
Food cravings: Fruit juices. :)
Food aversions: Things that are creamy and warm or smell gross (to me)
Gender: Unknown.
Labor Signs: None.
Belly Button in or out? In... no change.
What I miss: Subway!!!
What I am looking forward to: Starting to gather baby things. :)
Milestones: Belly showing, maternity pants all the time, SECOND TRIMESTER!

Other: The feeling of not knowing if I am hungry or overfull is a little annoying and I wish I didn't have to be quite so careful when I burp... there is always the worry of my last meal coming back to visit. Although... I have not puked this week! YAY
Also: Can hardly believe that I am a 3rd of the way through and we'll meet our baby in about 6 months!! I am starting to feel better... more energy, motivated to do more around the house to get ready. My body must know I only have about 3 months of comfort to prepare! :)
